It would seem Rail Fares are set to rise above inflation.
We are to be priced off the roads, and driven into the greedy waiting arms of the transport bandits. All in the name of protecting the environment. BS.

And, should there be, God forbid, a rail accident involving one of these horrendously overcrowded unsafe trains, we should demand Jail time for those responsible.



In other areas:

The only ceiling on charges for life`s neccessities would appear to be "whatever they can get away with."
Gas , Electricity, Water, all governed by the vagaries of a completely unfettered free market system. The promised advantages of the introduction of competition have simply never materialised. We pay and pay.
Behind closed doors, decisions are taken without accountability.
The obscene amount of profit, is totally unacceptable is it not?
For example, water is life. Why do we allow profiteering?
Dividends?

If a single person dies this winter, as a result of these market shenanigans, CEO`s should be charged with Corporate Manslaughter.
